Doncaster Congress - 20th February
The 33rd annual Doncaster Chess Congress will take place as usual in February - but with a change of venue.It has been moved to the XP East School, Middle Bank, Doncaster, DN4 5NG, which was used for the successful South Yorkshire Rapidplay in September.There will be four sections - Open (which will be FIDE rated), Under 2000, U1800 and U1600.First round will start at 7pm on Friday, February 20 with the tournament scheduled to end at 5.35pm on Sunday, February 22nd.Entry fee is £30 for ECF Gold members and £45 for everyone else.Prizes in each section will be £400, £200, £100 plus two rating prizes per section of £50.Further details plus online entry can be found by following the link...https://sheffieldchessinternational.uk/doncaster-congress-2026/ Please pass this on to any fellow chess players you think may be interested.

You are invited to take part in the End of Season Rapidplay ran by Peter Catt at Barnby Dun Social Club (High Street, Barnby Dun, DN3 1DS). The event is open to all and entry fees are £2 for the waged, and £1 for the unwaged. Prize money will be determined based on the number of entries.
